The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian

This book was recommended to me by my ELA teacher. W man, this book was g o o d. It's super funny throughout, and the author does a very good job making the book very readable. It's about this Native American guy who ends up going to an all white school. The book is NOT very family friendly, as there is explicit language in the book, but that just adds on to make the book hilarious. W book, W teacher, W, W, W 👍

The Cartoonists Club

The Cartoonists Club is a really good book because it helps you understand how comics/zines work. I would recommend it to kids who want to make comics. I enjoyed reading this book because it explains body language, emotions, and how to show that in stories through the illustrations. It talks about personal lives and how some people don’t want other people to be cartoonists. An interesting part of the book is how it explains the process of making a book. For example, there is a page that has all the jobs of making a book. Like plotter, scripter, penciller, inker, colorist, letterer, and editor. ( I learned all of these from the book😅😅😅) I would rate this book a 9.5 /10!!! I definitely recommend it to people. :D

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone

This book is a part of a series but I am choosing one of my favorite books in the series which is the first book, Harry Potter and Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone is more than just a fantasy novel - it’s an invitation to a world where magic feels real, friendships are powerful, and learning goes beyond textbooks. As a 7th grader,  I found this book to be a masterclass in world-building, character development, and the timeless battle between good and evil.

The Inheritance Games

This book is really really amazing! I would easily give it 4.7 out of 5 stars. One of my friends from camp recommended this book and after I read it I became obsessed. I would give this to any kid if I had the chance. The book is about this girl named Avery Kylie Grahams who is a nobody and lives in her car. At the beginning of the book she gets a letter that says that she has to go to a will reading for Tobias Hawthorne, a millionaire who had died recently. The letter claims that he left her money. * Tiny spoiler right here * Little does Avery know that Tobias Hawthorne actually left her all of his money, his angry relatives, and a house full of secrets. I totally recommend this book for kids ages 10-15. You should start reading it right now!                    Review published March 1, 2025

Swim Team

Swim team was mostly about Bree who is in middle school and she loves puzzles but she doesn't know how to swim but she learned how to swim. My favorite part of the book was when she was going to swim class and they had to do a try out race to get on the swim team for her school and *spoiler alert* she beat everyone by a lot and made the team. I really hope other people read this book and enjoy it.

Gamerville is a very... interesting book (graphic novel) to say the least. It's about this dude who likes gaming a little too much and doesn't touch grass, has bags under his eyes, etc. And he qualified for this thing called Gamerville where he competes against others to be the "top dog" (idk 💀). But his parents do something un-sigma and send him to some camp across from Gamerville so he wants to escape to Gamerville. 🎮👾💻 (Oh yeah there's also this weird kid who dresses up as an animal I don't even know man. 💀 ) Artwork was pretty sigma. 🤫🧏 If u are a no-life gamer like me then u would prolly like it 👍 so I recommend it to them/u. coco-aaah-co-whats-up-my-ninja.

This book was very good because I got to read more about the Former President Barack Obama, of The United states of America. So, according to the book, Barack Obama was born in Hawaii US and moved to Indonesia when he was a certain age. It was really interesting to me because I did not know about this until I read this book. I also learned that Barack Obama liked to play basketball when he was younger, and I did not know that. I also did not know he was a lawyer & he went to Harvard. In summary, he was very smart and was one of the best US presidents, (maybe the best.) He is a great person & this book taught me more about him. RECOMMENDED IF YOU LIKE STUFF LIKE THIS!!!

For example the plaidypus, the stomach faced duck, the leprecorn, steve and more in this amazing book of oddities. Very weird and good.         Review published 11/08/2024

Jujutsu Kaisen Series

Jjk is a very Good Manga Series! It is probably mature for someone 9 or younger so I recommend ages 10+ or so! It has good characters like Gojo... (if you've heard of Jjk you probably know who he is!) Here's a summary of what you should expect: Yuji Itadori is a normal high school student... until Megumi Fushiguro comes and a Curse is fighting them. Yuji eats a cursed finger in order to survive! That is the finger of Ryomen Sukuna aka The Strongest. Satoru Gojo is the one who trains Yuji, along with Megumi, Nobara, Toge, Yuta (read book 0), Maki and Panda. Pretty solid book if u ask me!      Review published 10/16/2024
